About This Project

I feel like I’ve been here before is a poem about arriving in circumstances. Navigating the realities of living with chronic illness, I reflect on the labour and vulnerability of being a performing artist, while unpacking the disembodiment that I underwent in dance training. In my attempt to remain true to myself, I discover that reality is much more complicated and multifaceted than we are taught to believe. I write and speak as a prayer of acceptance towards my transforming being.
