About This Project

Where We Cannot Remain Standing is a passage through transition states. Embodying a space that exists between one place and another, the dancers must cope with the confusion of being in an undefined phase, but simultaneously learn to celebrate how their conditions provide freedom of choice. The dancers find a support system within each other that allows them to find their own path within this grey area. The piece follows a journey of evolution from fearful hesitation to an embodiment of greater potential. This is a letting go of the ambition of beginnings and endings. This is the wealth in the spaces between.
